Our Official Stance on Childhood Vaccinations

At Sagewood, our medical leadership stands firmly behind the science of immunizations. Vaccines are safe, effective, and critical for the eradication and prevention of communicable diseases. All children, barring extreme circumstances, should adhere to the standard vaccination schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the CDC, or a delayed vaccination schedule approved by the clinic’s medical leadership. 

To protect the diverse needs of our community, we have established the following guidelines regarding childhood vaccinations:

To safeguard our most vulnerable patients—specifically newborns with developing immune systems and children with complex medical conditions—we require pediatric patients to be fully vaccinated or on a delayed vaccination schedule approved by our doctors.

Sagewood Primary Care

We firmly believe that every child deserves high-quality healthcare. For parents who choose to not vaccinate their children, our board-certified Family Medicine physician offers comprehensive medical care at our Primary Care clinic to all children two years of age and older, regardless of vaccination status.

By utilizing both of our specialized clinics, we can maintain the strict safety protocols necessary for high-risk pediatric patients while ensuring no family in Celina is left without exceptional medical guidance.
